Temperature Mapping Services
Intech regularly perform temperature mapping of the following equipment and facilities:
- Fridges, freezers, ULT Freezers
- Environmental Test chambers, Stability chambers, Incubators, Ovens, Cookers, Furnaces etc.
- Cold Stores, Warehouses & Storage Facilities, Transport Vehicles
- Water baths
Why perform Temperature Mapping?
Any temperature sensitive product must be stored within known temperature limits, keeping within these limits maintains product quality and shelf life. Products such as injectables, blood products and research media must be stored within a given temperature range and being confident that this has been achieved is essential to on-going product quality and regulatory guidelines. Regulatory bodies such as the MHRA, FDA an IMB regularly audit our customers to ensure that such guidelines have been adhered to.
Monitoring a fridge, freezer etc. at a single point is not sufficient to prove that all areas of the unit are maintaining the correct temperature. The only way to demonstrate that all storage areas of a unit stay within the appriopriate limits is through a temperature mapping excercise. Interested in Wirless temperature Monitoring? CLICK HERE

Temperature Mapping Protocol & Report
Prior to performing any mapping excercise we carefully prepare a Temperature Mapping Protocol document to specifically detail how the temperature mapping excercise will be performed.
The temperature map is executed in accordance with the Protocol and a detailed report is generated containing the required information:
- Temperature Mapping Protocol

- Data Logger Specification
- Data Logger Configuration
- Data Logger Certification
- Mapping Report
- Recommendations Report
- Excursions Report
- Statistical Report
- Floor Plans/Placement Plans
- Logger Configuration Report
- Validation Report
- Report Authorisation
- Printed graphical information
Current customers include:
- NHS Hospitals, Pharmacy depts, Pathology Depts, Blood Banks
- Private Hospitals
- Pharmaceutical production and Pharmaceutical R&D companies
- Pharmaceutical storage facilities and networks
- Food manufacture and storage facilities
Temperature Mapping Risk assessments
Whereby we identify areas within a facility or equipment that are likely to be of concern in a temperature mapping exercise. A detailed survey is carried out prior to the temperature mapping and by preventing any failure type situations this saves customers both time and money. The experience of our expert engineers will identify any potential problems that may occur and so may suggest an alternative/improved approach to the mapping, in terms of test probe locations.
